Outline:

Mia Culpa - a play on the Latin phrase ‘Mea Culpa’, meaning ‘through my fault/my bad’ - is a six-episode tragi-comedy web series. Our protagonist, Mia, in her early 20s, is a budding counsellor whose passion is helping people, when in reality she could really do with some help herself.

The first season of the series is about young people figuring out their place in the world, and the modern day issues they face: anxiety, problem-solving, sex and relationships, and dealing with failure. Oh, and gelato! Don't forget the gelato!

Season 1

Episode 1: The Interview

Having just received her "Counselling Certificate", Mia is keen to try out her new skills.  She nervously prepares herself and busily tidies up the lounge room ready to greet her first client.

With notepad and pen in hand, Mia meets Bradley....

Episode 2: The Bachelor

Bradley has run out of gelato! And, as it happens, the peanut butter is getting low as well.  So Bradley heads off to the shops...

Mia takes the chance to suss out Bradley's tea preferences so that she can start building her file on him.  Then Bradley's friend Charlie arrives...

Episode 6: The 'F' Word

Mia receives a letter from the Landlord announcing that the rent for the house has gone up.  Afraid that Bradley will leave when he finds out, Mia tries desperately to convince him to stay by being overly nice...

Episode 3: I'm a Failure

Tyson drops round to play Playstation with Bradley, but takes the opportunity to talk some more with Mia, who has been counselling Tyson for the past twelve weeks...

The session starts with a review of how Tyson is going with his "To Do" list...

Episode 4: Attachment Issues

Mia is becoming increasingly concerned about Bradley's frequent "meetings" with Clare.  Bradley seems unperturbed and thinks he has found the love of his life.

Mia attempts to break off his relationship with Clare, but things don't quite go as planned...

Episode 5: Let Them Eat Cake

Mia wants to cheer Bradley up after Clare has mysteriously decided she doesn't want to see him any more.  What better way to do that than with a "Break-up Pinata" and a hefty slice of Bradley's favourite cake?
